THE HALO EFFECT: DAYS OF THE LOST

The band members are :
Legendary Niclas Engelin  (Lead Guitar) / Peter Iwers (Bass)  / Mikael Stanne (Lead Vocals) / Jesper Strömblad  (Rhythm Guitar) / Daniel Svensson (Drums).  Do these names all look familiar? Well, they should, at some point in their music careers they were in the band In Flames. Even with having these well known, talented artists together in the band, there is no quarantee they will be successful. But all you had to do was listen to the first debut singe "Shadowminds" you knew they would succeed, I never had any doubt myself. Then they gave us "Feel What I Believe" then "Days of The Lost" . The last song was shot on a rooftop in Gothenburg called "Ringön".

What can I say, we know the talent behind this album, I have watched many of them in action  up to this band. I will tell you this, it is fast, melodic and all together really enjoyable.  This is an album that you won't skip a song, you will listen and enjoy every one of them.  Can't say that for a lot of albums these days. Everything fits together like one big puzzle, maybe because everyone knows each other so well they can collaberate and have this amazing sound, or they just know what they are doing to create music for us to enjoy.  I mean, reviewing was hard actually because I just would sit back and enjoy , but that is what an album should be like, so what I am going to say is this, you need this album, you will enjoy to the fullest, and appreciate the talent of each of these musicians. I don't know what to tell you, this album , the guitars, drums, bass, vocals are amazing to listen to, they fit so well together, they put their sound together, and this is what happens, pretty much perfection if  you ask me. There was a little surprise, I didn't know this before listening, but 'Last of Our Kind'  features guest vocals by Trivium vocalist Matt Heafy, a great addition.

So go buy it, you won't regret it. This is a prime example of what Swedish Melodic Death Metal is. You need look no further to experience it
