Metaltitans very own, Metal Mom Rita got approval to review THE DEAD DAISIES on their last Canadian date on their current North American tour. I was a little hesitant as I have never seen them before, yes, I have listened, but live is a whole other matter. Well, let me tell you, I was not disappointed.

I am starting with the headliner because they were phenomenal, they know how to Rock n' Roll. The Dead Daisies have released several records, including six studio, one live and one cover album. They have a growing army of fans worldwide and no matter what anyone says "Rock has been declared dead time and time again." They prove everyone wrong.

Over the last decade they have shared stages with some of the world’s largest Rock bands including Kiss, Guns N‘ Roses, Scorpions,  Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Bad Company, Whitesnake, ZZ Top, Foreigner, Judas Priest and the Hollywood Vampires, impressive don't you think? I am sure I missed some, but man oh man, what an a variety of audiences they have performed infront of.

John Corabi (MotleyCrue/The Scream), returns to the fold for the 2023 Tour, a well-established singer, along with bassist Michael Devin who is best known for his decade long tenure with classic rock icons, Whitesnake.  David Lowy (Mink/Red Phoenix), a guitarist with lots of enthusiasm and determination who played a massive role in putting the band together.  Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake/Dio) who everyone agrees is an impressive rock guitarist and also quite the performer, then add Brian Tichy (Pride & Glory, Foreigner/Ozzy Osbourne) who can blast those drum beats like no one else. This band is a heavy hitter from all angles.

How do I even start to tell you my experience, I think I was 5 songs in before I realized I was supposed to be reviewing this show. That says a lot don't you think, enjoying music so much that you don't even think about anything else. They are truly dedicated to what they do, professionalism all the way. Their sound was impressive, each instrument could be heard, the vocals had the enthusiasm to make people RISE UP, bring everyone to their feet and sing along if you knew the words. Eighteen songs later I was up front still wanting more. I know after rewriting this review numerous times, I am still not doing them justice.  They knew how to MAKE SOME NOISE. It truly was an honor to review such a band, I am still in awe, and wish I had seen more of their shows.

What I also really enjoyed, was the introduction that John gave, each member also had a story to go along with it. Most bands don't do that anymore.

They performed "Fortunate Son", a Creedence Clearwater Revivial cover, excellent, I knew all the words to that one.  "Midnight Moses", The Sensational Alex Harvey Band cover, and "Slide It In", a Whitesnake cover. The covers everyone in the audience enjoyed. Some bring back lots of great memories for some of us.

Make no mistake, you love Rock N Roll, then this is the band to check out, you will become so thrilled to see and hear them, trust me, you just can't get enough. Thanks guys, come back soon.

THE WILD, from Kelowna, BC, wild and freakin crazy (their words). Never heard of them, let me introduce you, there is Dylan Villain (vocals/lead guitar), Benny The Kid (guitar), Boozus (bass/vocals) and Crash Anderson (drums).  Rock n Roll through and through, they had the crowd just a hopping.  I have to say it, Dylan really reminded me of Freddie Mercury, not a bad thing at all. I have seen them before but such a long time ago. These guys nailed their set, everyone was so enthusiastic watching them, dancing around, hands in the air. Now that is what Rock N Roll is all about. They did an amazing job.

LA CHINGA, opening band tonight, right from home town of Vancouver. A trio that cranked out some hard rock power. I hadn't heard of them before, not too many people on the floor for them. But the ones that were, they knew them. It was hard to see the drummer in the back corner with things in front of his face. They did their best for their set.
