Rammstein brings the heat to Los Angeles with back to back shows at The Coliseum.

The Coliseum was completely transformed into what looked like something out of a post apocalyptic movie. A massive black structure with towers that shadow the entire field of the Coliseum. This was something I can guarantee that you have never seen and stopping to just take it all in was something most couldnt help but do. As the sun was beginning to set, Duo Jatekok performed on the B stage. They are a classical piano duo that covered nothing but Rammstein songs to get the crowd pumped for what they were about to witness. Playing songs Engel, Sonne, Auslander and everything in between.

The stadium goes black and as the Rammstein logo rises up the middle tower to the Music for the Royal Fireworks by George Frideric Handel. The stadium is lit up as the stage explodes as if were the 4th of July and immediately the chaotic drums of Christoph Schneider start the show off with Armee der Tristen. Till consuming the ears of the people with his deep , baritone vocals that many cannot achieve. Playing fan favorites like Sehnsucht, Deutschland, and Sonne. Right before the chants of Deutschland took over Los Angeles, there was a remix of the hit song. With a DJ and dancing light up suits took the stage as if it were a rave for the few minutes. From the ecstatic light show , chanting crowds, the smoldering fire all made for a show that was worth the almost 3 year wait. As they concluded their set, the camera pans to the crowd while various people flashing the entire stadium while the guys who were getting the biggest crowd reaction.

The attention is directed to the B stage where the band performs a beautiful  piano version of Engel while the band makes their way to the main stage on inflatable rafts that are being moved by the people. Not only do they perform another 3 songs but another encore on top of that, it is basically an entire new set that light up the night sky with one of the brightest light shows I have ever witnessed. If your mind was blown the past 2 hours, you haven’t seen nothing yet and they truly did save the best for last.
As the stage goes dark, the spotlight is put on Christian Lorenz with the light reflecting off of his reflective jumpsuit. You begin to see Till rise up from the bottom of the stage with a backpack attached to himself. Once Till begins to sing “ Rammstein “ as fire is projected from his backpack making him look like a fiery peacock. With fire also being spewed from Paul and Richard’s guitars, and a fire from the stage and towers that can be felt no matter where you were standing. Properly ending this 2 1/2 hour extravaganza with Adieu. As the crowd applauds, they are played off by a piano version of Sonne as they rise up the center tower saying goodbye and thank you to Los Angeles.

I can guarantee that you have never experienced anything like this particular Rammstein show. It was truly a spectacle and something that needs to be experienced in person.
